About Lokpath Charitable Trust
A grassroots organization working with rural communities in Bundelkhand since 2017 โ rooted in trust, presence, and community ownership.
Who We Are
Lokpath Charitable Trust (LPCT) is a registered grassroots non-profit organization established in 2017, based in Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh. We work across rural communities in the Bundelkhand region, where adolescent girls and families face persistent challenges related to education continuity, health and nutrition, livelihood insecurity, gender inequality, climate stress, and seasonal migration.
Lokpath responds to these interconnected challenges through integrated, rights-based approaches. We believe sustainable change is possible only when education, health, livelihoods, and family stability are addressed together โ through long-term community engagement, not short-term interventions.
- Village-level adolescent and women's groups
- Regular home visits and parental engagement
- Continuous coordination with schools and health workers
- Strong convergence with government departments
How We Evolved
Lokpath's journey began with close engagement in villages of Mahoba, evolving through learning, observation, and deep community trust.
Founded in Mahoba
Lokpath was founded with a close focus on villages of Mahoba, observing that school dropout among girls, anaemia, poor nutrition, and limited health access were deeply linked to poverty, migration, and social norms.
Expanding the Approach
Lokpath's model evolved to integrate adolescent empowerment with health and nutrition awareness, family engagement, livelihood strengthening, and coordination with schools and government systems. Registered as NGO Darpan: UP/2018/0194187.
EAG Project Launch
Launched the Adolescent Girls Empowerment (EAG) Project (2024โ2027), our flagship initiative reaching girls aged 10โ19 through structured village-level groups focused on education continuity, health, and leadership.
Today & Beyond
Achieving 80โ85% school retention among tracked girls. Working towards zero dropout in Classes 6โ10, while strengthening health, livelihoods, and climate resilience across 20+ direct villages and ~100 outreach villages.

Our Values
How We Work
Lokpath follows a community-led, group-based approach rooted in continuous field presence, relationship-building, and trust. Our work is not based on short-term interventions, but on staying engaged with villages over time and responding to realities as they evolve.
- Village-level adolescent girls' and women's groups as safe spaces for learning, dialogue, and collective action
- Regular home visits and parental engagement to address family-level education and health concerns
- Continuous coordination with schools, teachers, and frontline health workers
- Strong convergence with government departments โ education, health, nutrition, agriculture, and social welfare
- Emphasis on dialogue, dignity, prevention, and local leadership rather than top-down solutions
