Empowering Girls,
Transforming Communities
Lokpath Charitable Trust works across rural villages in Bundelkhand โ ensuring adolescent girls stay in school, families thrive, and communities build resilient futures together.
A Grassroots Organization Rooted in Bundelkhand
Lokpath Charitable Trust (LPCT) is a registered non-profit established in 2017 and based in Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh. We work across rural communities in the Bundelkhand region, where adolescent girls and families face persistent challenges related to education continuity, health and nutrition, livelihood insecurity, gender inequality, climate stress, and seasonal migration.
Our work is rooted in long-term presence, trust-building, and community ownership. We believe sustainable change happens when communities are informed, organized, and supported to shape their own futures.
Learn More About UsThe Ground Reality in Bundelkhand
In Bundelkhand, adolescent girls often discontinue education due to poverty, domestic workload, early marriage risks, migration, and limited access to information.
Girls frequently drop out at critical education transitions due to poverty, social norms, and limited family support โ especially in Classes 6โ10.
Farming households are increasingly vulnerable to climate variability, drought, and water scarcity โ directly affecting livelihoods and children's schooling.
High prevalence of anaemia, inadequate diets, and limited menstrual health awareness reduce school attendance and long-term well-being among girls.
Families forced into distress-driven seasonal migration often pull children from school, breaking continuity in education and community ties.
Social norms around girls' mobility, early marriage, and limited aspirations constrain their access to education and leadership opportunities.
Many families are unaware of or unable to access government welfare schemes, health services, and social protection systems meant to support them.

Kajal had dropped out of school due to social pressure and self-doubt. Through leadership activities and peer group support, she regained confidence, was re-enrolled, and is now in Class 11.
